TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Gogoro announced Thursday its Ezzy electric scooter, offering essential features at a low price without sacrificing style or utility.

The Ezzy is sleek but fast, featuring a new hub motor that delivers speeds of up to 68 kph while reducing maintenance needs, per Liberty Times. The scooter boasts a rounded design with a durable front panel, straightforward controls, and a physical key for quick starts.

Practicality is at the forefront, with a 68 cm seat for comfortable two-up riding, a spacious footwell, and a 28 L storage box that fits two helmets. Riders also benefit from handy features like a cupholder and flip-out footrests.

Maintenance is simplified thanks to the Ezzy’s electric powertrain, which eliminates oil changes and engine checks, saving both time and money. The scooter comes equipped with a one-touch reverse function and a low seat height for effortless maneuvering.

Safety has not been overlooked. The Ezzy includes dual disc brakes with synchronized braking and a high-contrast digital display for safer night rides. The model is available in five colors: bright green, deep blue, light blue, dark gray, and light white.

While its list price is NT$59,980 (US$2,000), Gogoro said subsidies bring the cost to under NT$30,000. For a limited time, buyers can receive a non-slip floor mat and an adjustable phone mount valued at NT$3,000.
