Lai thanked the G7 leaders for their support and for spelling out Beijing’s disruptive behavior, per CNA. In a message on X, he added that Taiwan would continue to cooperate with its international partners to oppose coercion and to safeguard regional peace and prosperity.
In a separate statement, Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung (林佳龍) said protecting peace in the Taiwan Strait had become part of an international consensus.
