TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Royal Caviar Club, the esteemed Hong Kong-based purveyor of fine caviar, is elevating Taiwan's luxury dessert scene with the official introduction of Caviar Cakery.
Since its 2021 entry into the Taiwanese market, Royal Caviar Club has been a favorite among Michelin-starred chefs and high-end culinary circles. This summer, the brand brings a new level of indulgence to everyday celebrations, transforming special moments with an unprecedented dessert experience.
Caviar Cakery's genesis is as romantic as its creations. In 2018, founder Oxana Dragun, affectionately known as "The Caviar Lady," sought a truly luxurious, healthy, and artistically expressive cake for her husband's birthday.
Unable to find one, she conceptualized and designed a caviar cake herself. This unique dessert was unveiled during a birthday dinner at ECRITUR, a two-Michelin-starred restaurant led by Chef Maxim Gilbert.
The cake unexpectedly ignited a global trend in high-end desserts, shattering the perception that caviar belongs exclusively to savory dishes and making this once-exclusive delicacy more accessible for everyday enjoyment.
In collaboration with internationally acclaimed French pastry chef and chocolate master Gael Majchrzak, who boasts over 25 years of experience, Caviar Cakery presents its signature Caviar Cake.
This innovative creation redefines the intersection of dessert and luxury with an unprecedented approach.
The cake features natural, low-salt, and preservative-free Malossol premium caviar, delicately adorning a smooth, creamy cheesecake base.
This ingenious pairing creates a symphony of sweet and savory flavors, with an intricate layering of aromas.
Caviar Cakery is launching three of its best-selling Hong Kong flavors in Taiwan: Hokkaido cheese, dark chocolate, and strawberry, starting from NT$980 (US$33). Available in various sizes, these cakes are currently offered for delivery within the greater Taipei area via the website.
The Hokkaido cheesecake boasts a silky, delicate texture, blending Hokkaido cream cheese with white cheese. The dark chocolate cake features a rich base of French vanilla, Hokkaido cream cheese, and Italian mascarpone, beautifully complemented by Valrhona 66% cocoa and a 100% dark cocoa sauce.
For a romantic twist, the strawberry flavor extends the caviar Hokkaido cheesecake concept, incorporating French strawberry puree for a delightful, subtly sweet profile.
To celebrate Caviar Cakery's official launch in Taiwan, the brand will host a limited-time pop-up event at Taipei's Chun Place (春大直) from July 1 to 15, operating daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering these three new caviar cake flavors.
Caviar Cakery is expanding its global presence, with flagship locations planned in iconic luxury destinations like London's Harrods and The Dubai Mall, and plans for a physical store in Taiwan.
