TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – While beloved for classics like crispy roasted duck and XO sauce radish cake, My Humble House (寒舍食譜) has launched 20 new Cantonese dishes featuring exquisite ingredients and enhanced tableside service.
My Humble House is elevating classic Cantonese cuisine with premium ingredients such as abalone, fish maw, snow crab, and Wagyu. A significant increase in tableside preparation adds to the dining experience.
Do not miss the sauteed fish maw with scrambled egg, prepared fresh at your table. The fragrant stir-fry combines egg and crab meat with nourishing fish maw, creating a beautifully delicate, flower-like egg dish.
Another highlight is the seafood crispy rice soup, where rich broth, slow-simmered for six hours with pork bones and lobster shells, is poured over crispy fried rice, creating a delightful crackling sound. Guests can choose to add a whole fresh Australian rock lobster or Hokkaido snow crab, complemented by succulent oysters.
The new menu also features the smoked lychee wood BBQ pork (Char Siu), using tender pork shoulder smoked with lychee wood for enhanced flavor and texture.
For dim sum aficionados, the restaurant introduces nearly ten new options. Must-tries include the Wagyu beef spring roll, made with premium American Wagyu and retaining a crispy, hollow spring roll texture, and the lychee-shaped fried dumplings, featuring a rose-hued red yeast crust filled with savory chicken, mushrooms, and bamboo shoots.
For dessert, the bird's nest almond egg tart is a luxurious treat. It combines a flaky crust with a smooth egg custard infused with popular Cantonese almond soup, generously topped with bird's nest and delicate gold leaf.
Also highly recommended is the pistachio cream, a well-received creation from a Michelin-starred guest chef last year, offering a rich, smooth, and naturally sweet nutty flavor.
Additionally, the restaurant offers a new five-course lunch business set menu on weekdays, perfect for corporate gatherings in Xinyi District. Reservations for 5-6 people can enjoy a complimentary upgrade to a private dining room.
