TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan’s 7-Eleven has announced a partnership with Japan’s popular lifestyle goods retailer Loft to open the country’s first Loft Select hybrid store at Kaohsiung’s Dream Mall.
The new store combines the convenience of a 7-Eleven with a curated selection of Loft’s lifestyle products in a compact space of about 50 square meters. Shoppers can browse nearly 2,000 items, including beauty and skincare products, accessories, stationery, lifestyle goods, popular character merchandise, and daily necessities, according to a 7-Eleven press release.
Targeting consumers in the busy southern Kaohsiung department store district, the Loft Select store aims to attract a diverse customer base of Gen Z, millennials, young professionals, and small families.
Product offerings and store displays will be regularly updated to keep the selection fresh. To better suit local consumer preferences, the product mix also incorporates items tailored for daily use in Taiwan.
The store’s design features Loft’s signature bright yellow, creating an energetic atmosphere. The lifestyle goods section sits alongside the convenience store area, which prominently features 7-Eleven’s mascot, Open-chan.
This collaboration introduces several Japanese products to the Taiwanese market for the first time, including the mini sitting raccoon ornament “Tanutanu,” Kousaido’s incense series, and jewelry from Mignon de Bijoux. The store also carries items from renowned Japanese illustrators and character sticker collections such as Q-Lia’s “Bonbon Drop Seal” and Esther Bunny.
