TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Argentina co-hosted a Taiwanese gourmet banquet with the InterContinental Hotel in Buenos Aires on Tuesday evening.
The Overseas Community Affairs Council invited chefs Pan Dai-ju (潘岱儒) and Chan Chih-chiang (詹志強) to prepare the banquet, attracting guests from diplomatic, political, and overseas Taiwanese circles, CNA reported.
The chefs presented classic Taiwanese dishes with a Western twist, including mushroom soup, sticky rice, and Hakka-style sweet dumplings.
Taiwan’s Representative to Argentina, Hsieh Miao-hung (謝妙宏), said Taiwanese cuisine reflects the nation’s diversity and innovative spirit, while also offering guests a taste of Taiwan’s warmth and hospitality.
Many attendees praised the dishes for their presentation and delicate flavors. A Taiwan tourism promotional video was also shown at the event.
