TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — E-commerce firm Momo on Wednesday held a topping-out ceremony for its new Changhua logistics center, aiming to speed up same-day deliveries and generate hundreds of jobs.
The NT$7.6 billion (US$249 million) facility will serve as its biggest hub in central Taiwan and is scheduled for completion in 2027, per CNA. The eight-story complex, with two underground levels, will cover about 128,700 square meters, per Anue.
The company said the facility will store over 1 million items, increasing overall inventory capacity by 20%. It added the hub will strengthen supply chain resilience and improve shipping flexibility nationwide.
Once in operation, the center will connect with northern and southern facilities to form a nationwide logistics network. It will also expand same-day delivery to cities including Hsinchu, Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung.
Momo said consumer demand in central Taiwan made the investment essential to enhancing Momo’s competitiveness. The new hub will also create about 550 jobs, with priority given to Changhua residents.
