Taipei (Taiwan News) — Taiwan will once again play Japan on Saturday in the final of the U-15 Asian Baseball Championship.
It defeated Japan 10-7 in Tainan on Friday to make the championship game, per Liberty Times. It is set to take place at 6:30 p.m. in Tainan.
The home team, Japan, and South Korea all finished the four-team super round with 2-1 records. Other teams were from Thailand, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan.
Taiwan has won a record seven U-15 Asian championships and will hope for a repeat on Saturday. Meanwhile, South Korea will take on the Philippines for the bronze medal.
The 12th U15 Asian Baseball Championship is hosted by the Baseball Federation of Asia and co-organized by Tainan City Government and the Taiwan Baseball Association.
