TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Nvidia announced Tuesday that TSMC and Foxconn have joined a roster of global companies adopting RTX Pro servers to transform their operations into AI factories.
The servers are powered by RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell GPUs, enabling companies to convert computing clusters into AI factory infrastructure without rebuilding their data centers, per CNA. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang (黃仁勳) said traditional servers can no longer keep pace with the AI era, calling RTX Pro “a computing platform built for this moment.”
TSMC Chair and CEO C.C. Wei (魏哲家) said the chipmaker is advancing semiconductor manufacturing with Blackwell-powered AI factories, optimizing fab operations and boosting efficiency with the new systems. Nvidia added that manufacturers such as Pegatron, Quanta’s CloudMinds, Siemens, and Wistron are also using RTX Pro to drive factory automation and digital simulation.
Wistron said the technology allows it to design and test factory layouts virtually before physical deployment, creating digital twins of production equipment to evaluate workflows and improve efficiency.
Foxconn Chair Young Liu (劉揚偉) said smart manufacturing requires the right technologies and strong foundations, noting that RTX Pro is being deployed across the company’s global infrastructure. He said the systems will support automation ranging from robotics to electric vehicles.
In May, Jensen Huang announced its new Taiwan headquarters in Taipei’s Beitou-Shilin area. Dubbed Nvidia Constellation, it is expected to enhance the company’s operational efficiency.
