TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — At Toutou Cuisine, a 4×4 grid of desserts is less a platter and more a stage for creativity.
Each transparent square holds a distinct treat, from the bakery’s signature chiffon cakes to matcha-infused delicacies, forming an ever-changing dessert mosaic. When the tray arrives, puffs of dry ice curl around the squares, turning dessert time into a foggy spectacle.
Inside, 15 unique sweets and savory bites tempt the palate, blending visual delight with flavor surprises.
The menu shifts daily to keep classics fresh. Madeleines rotate flavors, while staples like vanilla canele, Weiss chocolate tart, hazelnut chocolate chiffon, matcha tart, and salted caramel cheesecake offer variety alongside playful surprises such as wine-soaked cherry brownies with ice cream.
Highlights include the leopard-print cheese pie, refined tea-flavored cakes, and chiffon cakes. Savory bites such as pesto vegetable quiche and bacon potato quiche round out the tasting experience.
Founded by Ke Hung (科閎) and Wei Hsiao-li (魏篠莉) over 10 years ago, Toutou Cuisine evolved from a casual pasta and steak shop into a dessert-focused atelier, fueled by their shared passion for sweets. Industrial-chic decor provides a modern backdrop for the whimsical lineup, creating an inviting space that complements the bakery’s imaginative offerings.
