TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation announced an additional eight trains ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival and Double Ten Day holidays.
Tickets for these additional trains will go on sale starting midnight on Friday, the corporation said. THSR said it reviewed booking and capacity trends over 18 days before making the decision. The services include five southbound and three northbound.
Tickets for the additional services will be available through the T-EX Mobile Ticketing app, online booking system, THSR partner convenience stores, ticket counters, and automated machines at train stations. Passengers are encouraged to book early and pick up tickets in advance.
THSR already added 244 trains (120 southbound, 124 northbound) between Sept. 26 and Oct. 13.
