TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Foxconn posted consolidated revenue of NT$837 billion (US$25.5 billion) in September, an all-time monthly high on strong demand for artificial intelligence servers.
September revenue rose 38.01% from August and 14.19% year-on-year. Third-quarter revenue reached NT$2.06 trillion, up 14.47% from Q2 and 10.99% from a year earlier, setting a record for the period, per CNA.
The results reflect Foxconn’s shift from traditional consumer electronics toward AI and high-performance computing. Revenue from AI servers, cloud, and networking products surpassed earnings from iPhone-related consumer smart devices for the first time in Q2, a milestone in a multiyear transformation reshaping Taiwan’s tech sector, according to CNA.
Foxconn said it is now one of the world’s largest suppliers of both general-purpose and AI servers, with market shares approaching 40% in each category, and that early investment in AI infrastructure — made before the ChatGPT-driven boom — has begun to pay off. The company is a top manufacturing partner for Nvidia.
By segment, consumer smart products logged solid September growth on new product launches. Components and other products also rose on stronger parts shipments for consumer devices. Cloud and networking products posted significant gains on AI server demand, while computer end-product shipments were stable from August.
Looking ahead, Foxconn expects AI server shipments to keep ramping in Q4, with ICT products entering the seasonal peak. The company cautioned that global political and economic uncertainties and currency fluctuations remain key variables.
