TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — A recent Google Cloud survey showed that 78% of Taiwanese companies using generative AI have adopted AI agents, surpassing the Asia-Pacific average of 64%.
Google Cloud Taiwan General Manager Chen Kai-hsin (陳愷新) reported the findings at a media briefing on Thursday, per CNA. AI agents are software systems that help users automate tasks, according to the company.
Chen explained that AI agent performance depends on the quality and accessibility of enterprise data. When connected to platforms such as Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, agents can process vast business datasets more efficiently.
He noted that Google’s new Gemini Enterprise platform provides a comprehensive solution for building and running enterprise-grade AI agents. Its intuitive Gemini model chat interface allows employees to perform complex tasks through low-code tools.
Industrial computer maker Ennoconn has integrated Gemini Enterprise into its operations. The company’s no-code platform enables supervisors and staff to design AI agents tailored to their workflows.
One key use is factory optimization. AI agents analyze real-time production data alongside records, alerting managers before issues arise. The system is projected to reduce equipment failures by about 10%, cut repair times by 20%, and boost productivity.
Ennoconn President Tsai Neng-chi (蔡能吉) said the company has seen significant improvements in decision-making and efficiency since deploying AI agents. Customer satisfaction has also increased which is a valuable benefit, he added.
