TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The weather bureau forecasted heavy rain, gusts, and high waves across northern and eastern Taiwan due to effects from Tropical Storm Fengshen and a northeast monsoon, CNA reported Tuesday.

The Central Weather Administration said northern areas from Hsinchu to Yilan will see rain throughout Tuesday. Keelung’s north coast, Taipei’s mountain regions, and Yilan’s highlands could also see heavy or torrential rain. 

Rain is also expected in Miaoli and Hualien. Other regions may experience cloudy skies with occasional showers, per CNA.

Temperatures on Tuesday will range from 22-25 C in the north and 26-28 C in central and eastern regions. The south could see temperatures rise to 31 C.
