TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The UK Pavilion opened Wednesday at Energy Taiwan, marking 20 years of renewable energy cooperation between Taiwan and the UK, per CNA.
Led by the British Chamber of Commerce in Taipei with support from Scottish Development International, the pavilion showcases UK companies specializing in offshore wind planning and green energy technology.
BCCT said the UK’s full offshore wind supply chain and expertise make it a key global clean-energy player, and the pavilion highlights capabilities from seabed engineering to workforce training.
British Representative in Taipei Ruth Bradley-Jones said Taiwan is one of the UK’s most important partners in Asia, adding that more UK companies are setting up in Taiwan to work on offshore wind and sustainability.
Energy Administration Deputy Director-General Chen Chung-hsien (陳崇憲) said Taiwan is counting on the UK’s mature experience to help speed progress toward its 2050 net-zero goal. He added that government efforts to expand renewables and offshore wind are gaining pace.
BCCT said the pavilion underscores innovation and international teamwork driving the clean-energy shift, and that ongoing cooperation and knowledge sharing will help both sides move toward a cleaner, greener future.
Energy Taiwan is being held at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center from Wednesday to Friday, bringing together global exhibitors in wind, solar, and net-zero technologies.
