TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — ATM withdrawals for the NT$10,000 (US$321) cash handout opened nationwide on Monday, with more than 28,000 designated machines available for fee-free collection.
Withdrawals are available at ATMs run by Bank of Taiwan, Land Bank of Taiwan, Taiwan Cooperative Bank, First Bank, Hua Nan Bank, Chang Hwa Bank, Mega International Commercial Bank, Taiwan Business Bank, Cathay United Bank, Taishin International Bank, CTBC Bank, E.Sun Bank, Yuanta Bank, Bank SinoPac, Fubon Bank, and Chunghwa Post, per CNA. These 16 institutions together account for over 80% of ATMs nationwide.
The Ministry of Finance said that from Monday until April 30 next year, anyone with a debit card issued by a participating bank may collect the subsidy at ATMs marked with the official pink sticker. Users need only their ATM card, national ID or residence certificate number, and National Health Insurance card number.
They can then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the withdrawal. Parents or guardians collecting the subsidy for children under 13 should use their own ATM card and enter their ID number along with the child’s NHI card number.
The ministry stressed that no service fees will be charged, and interbank withdrawals are permitted. If an ATM is out of service or fails to dispense cash, users should contact the bank via the phone beside the machine or call the institution’s 24-hour hotline.
Eligible recipients include Taiwanese nationals with household registration, non-registered nationals with residence permits, overseas government employees and their dependents, and newborns born in Taiwan before April 30, 2026. Foreigners with permanent residency and the spouses of Taiwanese nationals with residency permits are also eligible.
