TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan and Poland signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday to strengthen drone technology cooperation.
The agreement covers advanced joint projects, system integration, and industrial applications, per CNA. It also calls for demonstration sites to support innovation and operational standards.
Minister of Economic Affairs Kung Ming-hsin (龔明鑫) highlighted the partnership’s focus on cybersecurity and a supply chain free from Chinese-controlled networks. He noted that Poland was Taiwan’s largest drone export market last year, reflecting strong commercial ties.
Taiwan Excellence Drone International Business Opportunity Alliance Chair Tsao Chin-ping (曹進平) said the Russia-Ukraine war has shown drones are essential for national security, per Liberty Times. Since its founding, the alliance has integrated Taiwanese companies to build a reliable and resilient global supply chain, he said.
Tsao added that the partnership aligns with Taiwan’s national strategy to expand collaborations with friendly countries, helping alliance members improve competitiveness.
