TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Google Taiwan Government Affairs and Public Policy head Chen Yu-chen (陳幼臻) is slated to lead the American Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan as chairperson in January.
AmCham Taiwan said in a statement Monday that Chen was elected following years of leadership, per CNA. The organization noted her extensive background in government relations as well as prior service as director of government and public affairs.
Chen is currently a governor at AmCham Taiwan and co-chair of its Digital Economy Committee. Previously, she founded Asia Advisory Services and served as managing director of Park Strategies Taiwan, where she focused on regulatory strategy and political risk assessment.
Reflecting on her earlier service, Chen said AmCham Taiwan’s greatest strength lies in its ability to evolve with the times. She said the chamber plays a key role in building safeguards for the US–Taiwan partnership across supply chains and technology.
Chen stressed that the chamber is not merely observing regional change but shaping a stable and prosperous future for both economies. She added that AmCham Taiwan’s 75th diamond anniversary next year will serve not only as a milestone celebration but also as a launch point for a new era of innovation.
Founded in 1951, AmCham Taiwan is one of the largest international business associations in the country, with about 1,100 members representing more than 580 companies across sectors.
