TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — South Korean pop group BTS will perform in Kaohsiung on Nov. 19, 21, and 22 as part of a global comeback tour after a four-year hiatus, according to its agency Hybe.
The agency said the world tour will begin in April, marking BTS’s first full-scale tour since 2022. The Kaohsiung shows are scheduled for late November and will be among the band’s stops in Asia before the tour concludes in Manila in March 2027, per CNA.
BTS announced a pause in group activities in 2022 as its seven members fulfilled South Korea’s compulsory military service for men under 30. With all members discharged last year, the group confirmed it would make a comeback in the spring of 2026.
At the time of the hiatus announcement, BTS was at the height of its global popularity, with hits such as “Butter” topping international charts, transforming K-pop into a worldwide cultural phenomenon.
The world tour will span 34 regions and include 79 shows, Hybe said.
Hybe said the tour will kick off on April 9 in Goyang, South Korea, followed by two additional concerts in the country before moving on to Japan. BTS will then travel to the United States and Europe before arriving in Kaohsiung for three shows in November.
The agency added that additional cities and dates may be announced later, including more shows in Japan and the Middle East. Ahead of the tour announcement, Hybe said on New Year’s Day that BTS would release a new album on March 20, followed by the world tour.
